Part # GOKIT71
INYOpools highly recommends replacing the shaft seal, o-rings and gaskets when replacing your motor, if you use your old shaft seal it will not mate up properly with the new pump and may leak. The best value is to go with one of INYO's tune up kits which include the shaft seal and all O-rings, gaskets and lubricant for your pump.
This Tune Up Kit Works on These Pumps:

For More Pool Pump Motors
I recently changed my pool motor and gaskets. I made sure to lubricate all the gaskets with vaseline. A few days later water is leaking from the pump. What did I do wrong? Help please!!
Reply
You never want to use vaseline on any rubber gaskets or o-rings. Vaseline is petroleum based and will deteriorate the rubber quickly. Whenever you change the motor on a pool pump it is recommended that you replace the gaskets and shaft seal as well. A >Go-kit contains the shaft seal, packet of non-petroleum based lubricant and gaskets you will need for your pump. If you already have the gaskets, you can purchase >Magic Lube.

My pump is not priming even after cleaning impeller. Will purchasing this kit aid in fixing that problem?
Reply
The seal kit can help with loss of prime. I can't guarantee that it will solve your problem. The loss of prime could be from an air leak at the valves or plumbing in front of the pump.

I am replacing my Century Pool and Spa motor (Cat B624 and Part 8-173840-23). Is this the right tune up kit to use?
Reply
We would actually need the front plastic pump model to locate the correct tune up kit for you.

Is there something on the Century motor label that would tell me what you need to know to help me? Or do I have to disassemble the current motor to find it?
Reply
Yes, there shoud be a number on the motor, like "Cat" or a number in this sequence xx-xxxxxx-xx.

Hi,
I am looking for a tune up kit like this for a Polaris booster pump B625. If you dont, would you tell me the part #s for the items. Thanks.

Gen, B625 is the motor identification for your Polaris Booster Pump. We would need to know the model of your Polaris Booster Pump to correctly identify the GOKIT you need. Working backwards, the GOKIT71 you asked about works on Polaris PB460 & Polaris PB460Q 3/4 HP Booster Pumps. If you have one of these, GOKIT71 is what you are looking for.

very complete and handy item. packing may not have been adequate, as there were 2 pieces of plastic broken off the plastic ring of the spring loaded washer/gasket,.... still operational, but compromised integrity. I hope to get this particular component replaced. All dealings with INYO have been fantastic, to date.

(5 out of 5 stars) Great kit for Polaris booster pump
Reviewed By: Cobra427sc from Houston, Tx ()
Pros: Great kit, fast shipping, good price
Cons: Website should address other motor configuratioins
Great kit, ready to go and complete. There must be several versions of the PacFab booster pump, as neither the Inyo website instructions, nor a decent segment on Youtube, satisfactorily addressed how to hold the shaft steady on my pump. (It turns out that mine is really easy...you can grasp the shaft with a needle nose locking plier through a window in the motor casing, making it really easy to do.) Other than that setback, it was an easy and effective install. sdm
