Do you need a pole to attach to it so you can clean your pool while outside of it? (Like a telescopic pole for a leaf net) And if so, will a regular leaf net pole attach to this?

This is an automatic suction side pool cleaner. You do not need to connect it to a pole. The cleaner comes with the necessary hoses.

What works best to clean/vacuum a hot tub?
Reply
Hi. This unit will not work in a hot tub. I would recommend a Battery Powered Handheld Vacuum.

What horsepower of pump is required for this cleaner to work effectively? I have an above ground 27' round pool.
Reply
Hi, C Emmons. A 1.5 hp pump or higher is required to operate this filter. You must also have a large enough filter to accommodate the pump.

Will this work on inground pool (18x36) with vinyl liner?
Reply
Hi, Joanna. Yes, it can. However, it only comes with 32 feet of hose. If your vacuum port is located in the center of your pool that will be sufficient.

will this run by itself by just hooking it to the pool suction port to the filter..Its an inground pool
Reply
Hi, Paul. Yes, it will run once it's connected to your suction port with the pump running.

Does this clean the algae on the side walls as well as the bottom surface?
Reply
Whether these or most cleaners will go up pool walls ultimately depends on the pool design, equipment and system settings such as jets and valves. In the end, we do not recommend to utilize a cleaner for algae or dirt removal of the walls. We recommend weekly brushing and chemical treatment if there is algae present. If the cleaner removes algae without brushing or chemical treatment it will come back shortly after and a cleaner cannot always remove algae if it has rooted well enough into the pool finish.

Can this vacuum stay attached for continuous use or do I have to detach it?

The manufacturers of these cleaners usually recommend to keep them in the pool but you can detach them if you prefer to.

Just got my pool cleaner today and it will work for a few minutes and quit. If I turn it upside down it will start again for awhile and quit again. Seems to have a really good suction power, but it just isn't moving. How can I fix it?

Hi, Cindy. You may have too much suction, try using the Regulator Valve if it's not installed.

Another question, I have retrofitted my pools filtration system to work with my sand filter pump, can this product work with it ? I have a summer waves elite pool 16×48, above ground. Thank you.

Hi, Joshua. This cleaner is not suitable for soft side pools.

Did I read that the Aqua Fusion should be left in the pool between cleanings? The other units recommend removing after each use.
Reply
Most manufacturers recommend leaving the cleaner in the pools however if you decide to remove it make sure that if you have a designated line for the cleaner that it is closed, and that you rinse the cleaner storing it in the shade.

My pool cleaner will not move anymore but I can hear it sucking. I also have change the filter.

Hi, Larry. Inspect the cleaner to make sure that the Flow Valve is flapping back and forth. If it is, then check the Foot Pad for wear grove.

What happens when the Wedge splits in half and can no longer "flap back and forth." Answer: Nothing, it just sits there in the bottom of the pool. Can I get a replacement Wedge?
Unfortunately, the promotional cleaners do not offer parts for replacement. If you are within the one-year manufacturer defect from the original date of purchase, please contact support at https://secure.inyopools.com/Support/SupportRequest.aspx we will review the cleaner with the warranty department. *The part that is broken is considered a wear item, however, we will still review it for you.

Hi, Phil. You will then need to look at our line of Robotic Pool Cleaners or use a Suction Pool Cleaners along with a Debris Canister.
