How does the Coverfree work in the swimming pool?
Reply
Coverfree creates an invisible barrier that helps retain heat in the swimming pool similar to a solar blanket. Surface tension allows it to remain in place or reform during swimming.

Pool is no longer used. No longer heated. Interested in saving water. How often should I add Cover Free to the pool. Or do you recommed a blanket?

Shake product vigorously.Weekly with circulation system running, add 4 oz. per 675 sq. ft. of surface area, assuming an average pool depth of 4 feet (20,000 gallons).Note: Skimmer application is preferred, however, COVERfree can be added directly to pool water.Important: Circulation system must be running for either application. You do not need to remove solar blanket when adding this product.

is this product safe for a salt water pool?
Reply
Hi, The Natural Chemistry Cover Free is 100% safe to use in chlorine tablet and salt water pools. The Cover Free will not only retain heat in the pool as a substitute or a solar blanket, but it also helps prevent water loss from evaporation.

Can you share your empirical and statistical data proving evaporation loss prevention?
Reply
Wayne, For that information, you will want to contact Natural Chemistry directly: https://naturalchemistry.com/en-us/

You would use about 5-6 ounces every week for a pool size of a little over 26,000 gallons.

I bought the Cover Free from you back in January. I just started using it again to keep the pool warmer overnight. I have about an 18k-20k gallon pool. I put in just shy of 4 oz per week. I'm in Florida. It's about 68-73 at night. I'm still losing between 3-4 degrees overnight. Is this about typical? Seems to be a bit much for this size pool. Thanks.

I bought and installed the Hayward 140000 btu pool heat pump.
These nights recently are cool, falling as low as 40 degrees.
Do I need a blanket in addition to Natural Chemistry COVER FREE 1 Gallon - 07109 to reduce heat sink?
I'm losing 6 to 8 degrees overnight.
What is the best heat pump setting practice for cool nights?
Suggestions welcome...

Hi, Dave. You do not need to use a solar blanket, in addition, to Cover Free. You can use one or the other. If you're using a solar blanket or Cover Free which will reduce heat loss, operating the unit during your normal schedule will be best.
