How does the Coverfree work in the swimming pool?
Reply
Coverfree creates an invisible barrier that helps retain heat in the swimming pool similar to a solar blanket. Surface tension allows it to remain in place or reform during swimming.

Hello, this product is used instead of a solar cover. It will not hold even more with this product, this product is used and creates a barrier on the top of water locking in heat if you didn't have a solar cover.

If you have dogs that swim in the pool, would there be any adverse effects for them from drinking the pool water from the surface while using Cover Free?
Reply
Hello David, I would be more concerned with the levels of your chlorine than the cover free. High Levels of chlorine could be a problem for dogs that drink too much pool water, but if your levels are balanced then it shouldn't be an issue. With Cover Free it is a natural product and the manufacturer informed me that several people have used cover free and have dogs that occasionally drink the water. Please check your chlorine levels and if you find them to be on the high side, please just contact your local vet to ask what signs to be aware of just in case.

We have a small cocktail pool (12x16x4); how much would we use and how often?

Hello Rebecca. Natural Chemistry Cover Free use directions are 4 ounces per 667 sq ft of water surface area. Your pool dimensions of 12 x 16 equate to 192 sq ft of surface area. Dosage for your pool would be just over 1 ounce or 1/4 of a cap full. A cap full on the 32oz container of Cover Free is 4 liquid ounces. The frequency of pool use dictates how often Cover Free should be added. Under normal use conditions, Cover Free is added once per week. If the pool has very limited use or no use then once every two weeks is sufficient.
