Could send a few photos of your pump? If you send photos then take a close up shot of the motor label as well as a wide shot of the complete pump to include the pipes going in and out of the pump. I don't have the motor, I am hoping to buy it from you, but I want to know which other parts I should buy to make sure that the installation goes smoothly and the motor lasts as long as possible

Hi Jeff, The parts needed for installation are tied to the pump housing side, as this motor is used on about 10 different models of pumps and each one of those pumps requires unique parts. Here is a Good Image Showing the Difference between Pump Side and Motor Side can you pull any information or part #'s off of your pump side?

I believe this the right impeller but... just make sure
I have measured the impeller at 4.9in and .54in

Does this impeller come with the screw to hold it into the motor? And can I buy a screw separately, I believe it is reverse threaded...

Hi Mike, this impeller is used in the Pentair Whisperflo series pool pump. Please see this parts diagram where key numbers 14 and 15 show the set screw and washer used with it.

I'm curious why Pentair is pairing a 1 1/2 HP impeller (WFDS-28) with a 2 HP motor (2 HP 1.1 sf). Or am I reading something wrong here?
Should I be doing this, or should I get a 2 HP impeller for a 2 HP motor? My understanding was you always match the impeller with the motor's horsepower.
This pool has tons of head. I want as much power as I can get from the pump..
Hello Michael. The Impeller 073129 is rated for motors with a total horsepower (THP) of 2.0+ (2.2). The model WFDS-28 is an Up Rate 2.0 HP Pump, SF1.10, THP 2.2. The 1.5 HP pump models, WFE-6, WF-6, and WFDS-6 are Full Rate 1.5 HP, SF 1.47, THP 2.2. The Impeller 073129 is THP compatible with all these models.

Hello Richard. The Pentair Whisperflo Impeller, 1 Hp Full Rated 1 1/2 Hp Up Rated - 073128 is the correct impeller for the Pentair WhisperFlo Pool Pump with the Century Motors B2848 installed. The Century Motors B2848 is a 1.0 HP Full Rated motor. Attached please find the Pentair Whisperflo Pump exploded parts diagram for reference.
