Hello Vince, you might want to check with the manufacturer Pentair just to check, from what their website states its a polymer. type. Just to be sure I would check.

Hi. Yes, this Bulkhead - 194801 will fit the Pentair Nautilus FNS and the Pentair FNS Plus DE filter models.

My Pentair NS72 has coarse threads for the larger end but fine threads on the smaller end.

We have verified that the threads on both sides of the bulkhead fitting are the same thread pitch, just different sizes, not considered a fine thread. Our guess is that your NS72 filter is just that old. The outlet pipe assembly that the bulkhead screws into is NLA as well as the tank body & lid. It really is time for a new filter complete.

would the bulkhead fit an old stainless steel Nautilus NS36? all i'm able to find is the updated version. My bulk head has 2 Orings.
