Are the inlet and outlet ports, on the filter housing body, threaded or smooth? Am adding a photo to show you my Hayward C800 filter connections. It looks like the installer glued the PVC pipe to the outlet.

The ports on a c800 filter are 2"threaded, I assume there is a reducer to receive a 11/2" pipe?

Hi Daniel, yes you can use a reducer fitting 7194-0 to adapt from 2 inches to 1.5 at the port.

I have an old Hayward pool filter. The housing is cracked and leaking. I am wondering if the c-800 will replace it ? I have added a picture . How tall is the c-800 tank ?

Yes, this does look to be the Hayward C-800 filter which is part number 4662-18C for the body that you can view by clicking here and is a special order of approximately 2-3 weeks.
