I have stains in the bottom of my swimming pool. I've used several products but nothing seems to work. Will this stain remover work?

Before using a stain remover, I would recommend using a stain id kit. It will help you identify the type of stain you have. Once you have identified the stain, you will then be able to use the correct product to remove it.

Why did my stains turned black after I used this product?

Your stains turned black because you likely have copper stains instead of iron ones. Please use our Copper & Scale stuff.

Is it safe to swim after I use the Iron Cobalt & Spot Etching Stuff?

No. Do not swim during treatment as the water will not be balanced. You may swim after the stains have been removed and after you water chemistry is back to normal.

Should I wait for the chlorine to come down on its own before using the Jacks Magic Iron, Cobalt & Spot Etching Stuff?

No. . By not using a chlorine remover, you will create a chlorine demand which may create an algae problem. By using After Shock you can immediately lower the chlorine level and start the treatment the same day.

Must the water and/or the outside temperature be at or above a specific temperature prior to use?

Good day Donna.  I called Jack's Magic just to be sure, but it was confirmed that the water temp must be over 65 degrees. The outside temp does not factor in. It was explained that since this is a chemical reaction, the colder the water the slower the process, it at all.
