Will this heat my 27' round pool?

For your size pool you would need something a little larger like the 18 KW Version of this heater. Click here to view the 18KW Raypak Pool & Spa Heater

This will not heat this pool as it will not produce enough BTU's

Is this heater able to do a 24' pool?

Hi Dominic, It really depends on your heating needs for example how hot do you want to maintain the pool and in which months you will be using the heater. I would suggest looking at this Electric Heater Pool Sizing Guide to determine your needed KW and then refer back to the heaters on this page Raypak Electric Heaters.

I have a 15x24 AGP and I’m looking to raise the temp 10 degrees or so, I’m in the northeast so the swimming season in short as it is but if I could be extended it would be great. Also are the electric heaters more economical than their gas counterparts? Thank you!

Hi, Duane. This unit is not adequate for a pool of your size. If used it can take days to raise the temperature of your pool 10 degrees. Electric heaters are more economical than gas heaters.

what size unit for a 5600 gallon pool

Tom, the Raypak E3T Electric Digital 11kW Pool/Spa Heater - 017122 would be a little overkill in my opinion. I suggest the 5KW model for your 5600-gallon pool, the E3T Electric Digital 5.5kW Pool/Spa Heater - 017121 would be more suitable.

I want to add a heater to my 8 ft. diameter stock tank pool. It holds 700 gallons of water...
Im using a Intec sand pump to filter the pool.. What heater do you recommend for this size pool

Kim, the 11 kW might be a little much for 700 gallons of water, although you will get your water up to temperature faster. I suggest the E3T Electric Digital 5.5kW Pool/Spa Heater - 017121.

is this unit controllable by pentair intellicenter automation
Reply
Yes, you can turn the heater on and off from the control. You can also use the control for setting the temperature. To do this you would turn the heater thermostat all the way up and use the control's thermostat
Reply
It is not controlled by automation. The set temp can not be raised and lowered and it could not be turned on and off with the controller and or the remote, On the flip side if it is on and the wire to the pressure switch and or high limit where to be cut and taken out to the heater relay in the controller and returned to complete the circuit to the heater the automation would be in control of the heater. This would be the same as turning it on and off with a fireman's switch.

I have a 5 year old handicapped child, I am 85 and her guardian. I have an above ground pool 14" round 48" deep and live in Denver, CO, want to keep temp at 86-88 and use pool May through Oct. for her therapy. Holds about 5000 gallons water. I need to know what size electric heater to buy. I looked at your sizing chart and it was too complicated.
Hi Barbara, Thanks for the email! Based on your requirements we think this would be a great heater for you. Please note that you will need 240V power and a dedicated breaker for this heater which means you may have to get an electrician out to install the 240V service.

The heaters are designed for indoor and outdoor use. All units must be mounted on a level base parallel to the ground. Secure the unit to the base with screws (not provided).
