I have a 15x26 semi in ground pool with a depth of 54". there are no gas lines in my neighborhood. I use oil to heat my home. Would i be able to get a propane heater for my pool and how many BTU's would i need to get? How does the propane get delivered and how often?

Hi John, For a 15' x 26' pool I would suggest a 206,000 BTU Raypak Heater. For propane you would have a propane tank which normally sits on the side of the house or is burried in the ground. The propane company usually figures out your average useage and puts you on automated schedule, for example they would come out every 6-8 weeks to fill up the tank.

We have a 12 x 24 above ground pool, what pool heater would be suitable for us

Hi Ruth, This 105,000 or the 156,000 BTU will be suitable for size pool. The 156A will heat your pool faster than the 105A unit.

Good day if you are looking at a 106A Propane Millivolt you would need RayPak 106A Analog Control - 105K BTUs - Propane, MV (4000-6999 FT) - 014783.

Would I have to run a special plug for this heater or can I plug it into a the already out door plug that we have?

Hi, Will. This unit does not require any electricity. This is a millivolt system which uses a standing pilot to power the unit.

Will this work with a salt water system?

This unit would not be recommended to be used with a saltwater swimming pool. You would want to look for a model of similar specifications however with a cupro-nickel heat exchanger.

Can I use the standard propane tanks that you use for outdoor grills?

From the manual, page 12: "Do not use 5, 10 or 20 gallon (19.38 or 76 Liter) propane tanks, like those used with consumer barbecues, to supply gas to this heater"

The Raypak above ground pool heater series can be plugged into a three-prong power receptacle; the heater comes with a three prong plug for this purpose. For wiring instructions, refer to page 16 of the owner and installation manual.
