I need parts for my filter valve. When I look at the filter parts breakdown, it gives me different choices. How do I know which one is the one I need?

In order to locate the correct parts we will need to know the model number of the filter valve. Two identical filters can have two different valves. Typically the valve model will be located on the label of the valve. If there is no model number on the valve, you can try to see if there are any part numbers on the valve itself. Once you've located you valve model you can check out our >Filter Valve Parts.

Does the pipe from the pump (water input) get plumbed into the pipe coming straight down from the center of the unit and side port then to send water back to pool? Seems that would work for me given my existing plumbing and pump location.

Ron, The center pipe would be plumbed to the pump. The other 2 ports on the side are labeled "Return" and "Waste".

On the Pac Fab Hi-Flow Valve--(261050), our current one which is fifteen years old is plumbed into the filter with a one and one-half inch pipe at the top and with a two inch pipe at the bottom--does the 261050 have these measurements---will it fit?

Mary, The Pac Fab Hi-Flow Valve (261050) will be the same as your fifteen year old valve as far as matching the as far as the ports that is attached to the filter body.

I have a 48in nautilus de filter, I'm replacing all of my piping to 2" from 1 1/2". I currently have a multipart valve that is rated at 75GPM and was looking to go to the max flow rate. Does the 2" hi flow multipart valve have a 125 GPM rating and can I use it on my filter? or what model should I use?

Hi Dave, According to the 2" High Flow Valve (261050) decal label the flow rate is 125 GPM, which can be used with your filter.

I bought the Pentair Quad DE (60) filter a year or so ago with a 2" hi flo multi valve. I finally got around to installing it. My question: the 6 way hi flo valve instructions identify the valve as P/n 272133, but all references on-line and on your site ID the valve (picture is identical to what I have) as 261050. I assume they are the same - are there any issues I need to be concerned about. OK for DE filtering with my quad? Thanks - I appreciate the help you guys are always able to provide.

Hi Ron, We cannot find any reference to the 272133 valve #. The 261050 would be the proper valve for the Quad DE Filter so if you have a 261050 valve then you will be fine.

Can quad 80 de filter be back washed

This filter has hree simple cleaning options to choose from: backwash and recharge like traditional DE filters, remove and rinse off the DE cartridges, or remove the lid, leave the DE cartridges in place, open the drain plug, and rinse.

Where do I install the sight glass? The sight glass is threaded on one side.

Hi, Jim. The ports are label specifically for their function. The Waste port which the Sight Glass is used for is located on the opposite side of the Return Port.
