Hi, how does this compare to the Jandy JXI 400? This seems to be out of stock at the vendor and I am looking for a replacement.

Jennifer, the Pentair Pool Products MasterTemp Heater 400,000 BTU - NG w/ Electric Ignition Low NOx HD has a comparable BTU output the Jandy JXI 400. The Pentair unit has a slightly higher heater efficiency, and in my opinion, it is a higher quality unit.

We are considering building a new pool and are looking at various options, we live in rural Connecticut. We currently have a salt water pool and use a heat pump. If we were to use a MasterTemp heater, can we still use a salt system as the sanitizer? Does it effect the heater?
Thanks
