We have a mountain lake 24 x 44 inground pool. We need a new solid pool cover. Not sure of what size to get. Our old one was rectangular but not sure what size it was. We are thinking we might need 29 x 49? Thanks

What purpose does a winter pool cover serve for a 20 x 40 "In Ground" pool??

Hello Charles. A Winter Cover installed on an Inground Pool would minimize the amount of debris and particulate that would enter the pool if a physical cover was not present. The cover also reduces the opportunity for algae growth. It can make opening the pool for the next swimming season much easier by reducing the spring pool clean-up time. As you make your selection please note that there should be additional cover material that extends beyond the pool perimeter in order to properly secure the cover. My pool is jelly bean shaped and it's approximately 20×40 long side and 19 inches wide on the shallow end. Not sure which cover to buy.
