What do I use to keep the cover in place?
Reply
In-Ground Winter Covers come with straps positioned every 4 feet along the edge of the cover. The loops are used to hold water bags, which will hold down the cover.

I have small children and recently purchased a house with a pool. Is there anything I can do to make the pool area safe?

While nothing can fully replace responsible adult supervision, I would recommend using a safety cover while the pool is not in use. A safety cover is held in place by anchors and allows some peace of mind knowing that if someone enters the pool area they will not fall into the pool.

Hello,
I have an 18x36 in ground pool, my stairs are on the left if you're looking from the low end to deep end. My question is will your 18x36 cover fit my pool with the stairs on the left front side?
Thanks in advance for any information.
Best,
Bob

Hello Bob, I would all the way from the side of your pool to the steps, then I would compare that to what we have, so if you measure with the steps 25x36 then to cover yours stairs you would need to get a PL7956 because that give you a cover of 29x45 as an example. So measure side to side including steps to determined proper size needed. When you go on our site you can see the "pool size" and "cover size".

The pictures of this cover show grommets along the edge. Can you please confirm that the cover that I will receive will indeed have these grommets. I use the grommets to secure the cover in place. Thanks.

Yes, this cover does have the grommets for securing the cover in place.

Does the 18 x 36 in ground pool cover have a section on the end for steps?

Hello David- The Winter Pool Cover for 18' x 36' Rect I/G Pool - PL7950 does not come with a step section. The covers generally come with 3-4 feet of overhang so that you can secure it to the pool deck by water bags. When it comes to winter covers you will have to get a cover that encompasses the size of your pool with the steps.

How many water bag loops are on the 18' x 36' Rect Inground Pool Cover - PL7950? Would it be 2 loops for each water bag?
Reply
Hi. An 18' x 36' pool requires 12 - 10' Water Tubes. Each water tube will take 2 loops.

If I put on a pool cover and leaf cover do I still need to run my pool filter every day? Will it affect the cover if I do?
Reply
If the pool water is not at risk of freezing than I recommend running the pump anywhere between 4-6 hours per day.

Can I use this for summer cover? I don't like bubble covers, because they make pool too hot. I have kidney shape pool, so cover would need to be trimmed. Main objective is to reduce water evaporation and block out the heat generating rays of the sun.
Thank you,
Patrick

our inground pool is a 18x36 Kidney Shape... What size cover would be good for the pool?
Reply
Hi Joseph, for an 18 x 36 inground swimming pool this size winter cover would be correct for it.

does this cover allow the rain water to go thru to the pool and prevents the dirt and leaves from going through?
Reply
Good day, this cover is solid and does not allow water or debris to enter the pool.
