Is it true that the mesh winter covers allow sunlight through and that will cause algae?

The mesh winter covers allow a very small amount of sunlight in,. The amount of sunlight let in by the mesh cover alone is not enough to allow any algae growth. As long as the pool water is properly balanced, algae shouldn't be a problem.

Hello. Can I simply use the water tube loops to tie down the cover instead of using water tubes? And how many water tube loops are there in addition to the 4 corner grommets? Thanks, Hal

We would definitely suggest the water tubes as that approach will definitely prolong the life of your cover.

Hi Hal, We would suggest against just tieing down the water tube loops as this approach normally will tear or rip over time. The water tube loops are spaced every 5' around the perimeter of the cover.
