Does this gasket need to be glued down and if so what kind of glue?

The spider gaskets can be glued on the flat side using a thin bead of clear RTV silicone.

BASIC INFO: Pentair triton II sand filter (PN: 140264). Side mount multiport diverter valve. 1.5" plumbing ( Pentair part number: 27-1140.) Valve is 6 position (white or cream colored). I need the spider gasket.
Is the correct seal/gasket kit APCK 1067? Thanks

Hello Pat, the APCK1067 PacFab MPV 1.5" Tune Up Kit is all the orings and spider gasket for the SM10-2. If you are only wanting spider gasket its part 4600-1104 Gasket, Diverter 1 1/2in (e-12-s1 1 1/2") - 271104.

Hi, Ron. Unfortunately, this tune up kit is not compatible with the Pac Fab SP710 valve. For available replacement parts depending on the age of your valve you can view the Hayward Multiport Vari-Flo SP-710 1.5" - 1969-1975 Parts or the Hayward Multiport Vari-Flo Valve 1976-Current Parts pages.

Hi, Rich. This Tune Up Kit will not fit the Pac-Fab SP-710 valve. There is not a kit available for that valve, the replacement parts are listed on the Vari-Flo SP-710 Parts Diagram page.

Help, I'm frustrated and confused! I'm trying to find a replacement spider gasket. I have a multiport valve marked PAC-FAB SM10-2DE. I've replaced the gasket before but can't find one now. In fact a local store sold me a replacement that is too big and they won't take it back because they say it's the correct part. Do you have the gasket I need, I'll consider a tune up kit if that's a good idea (I've only ever replaced the spider gasket). Thank you.
