The seal kit can help with loss of prime. I can't guarantee that it will solve your problem. The loss of prime could be from an air leak at the valves or plumbing in front of the pump.

Not real clear, I have a salt system and a Super II. Do I need the GOKIT2 or the GOKIT2SALT?

If you have a salt system you will want to go with the gokit2salt. The shaft seal in that kit is more heavy duty and less corrosive.

Have leaking pump (Hayward, Max-Flo II Pump), installed on the salt water pool.
Motor model is: C48D43A04, HP=1.5, made by A.O.Smith TIPP CITY, OH. Runs well.
The pump is connected to the filter assembly, Model #: SP2710x15, via 4 screws (not 6).
Please advice what KIT (set of seals) do I need as replacements. I need the part number please.
I am confused by a difference between 5250-210 and 5250-235. Therefore, considering the KIT.

How often should the seals be replaced when using salt systems? Also, I followed the video for v-green 1.65 variable speed pump installation which neglected to mention cleaning the impeller shaft and lubricating the shaft and plate seals. Will this be an issue?

Hi Glenn, you really don't need to regularly change the shaft seal unless you see it leaking. Also, you do not need to lubricate the motor shaft or any plates. Just the standard seals and gaskets.
