Are there seconds available in these covers. I need a cover to temporarily cover 18 x 36 pool w/center end steps for a few months prior to filling pool in. Thanks,

Hello Meredith, this is how it is shaped in the picture, if it is any different you need to fill out custom cover sheet. http://media.inyopools.com/documents/form/Inyo-Safety-Cover-Measuring-Form-2015.pdf

Does the w/ 4x8 mean the additional piece that is added for the steps? Also, what are the actual outside dimensions of the cover before adding the "step piece". Thank you

Hi, William. The cover has an additional 4' x 8' section for the steps. The cover is 20' x 38' not including the step section.

First Time Install of Mesh Winter Safety Cover

Written on 11/14/2019 by Guest

I just recently installed the Mesh Winter Safety Cover for the time and solo. Following the instructions were straight forward. Some tips I could give are:

1. Have a friend help roll it over the pool. Otherwise, everything else can be done solo.

2. When slipping on the buckle and spring, the instructions say to leave 4 inches between the buckle and cover edge, but if you look at the diagram it shows 3 inches. Use the 3 inches. I think the 4 inches considered the 1-inch buckle length.

3. I used a hammer drill to drill the concrete holes. I would recommend a rotary hammer drill instead. Still, you can mimic the rotary part by twisting the hammer drill while drilling or lifting it out and turning it every so often so the bit does not get stuck in the hole. Use a shop vac as well to suck the dust out while drilling.

4. Obvious tip but mark with a piece a tape 1 7/8" on your drill bit for consistent hole depth.

5. You may need a larger (more leverage) 5mm Allen key than provided to screw in the anchors.

New pool needed safety cover

Written on 3/12/2017 by Guest

Contractors installed the cover I purchased. Pool Co. wanted to charge me $2000 for the cover plus installation. I bought the same cover from INYO for $600 and paid the contractor $200 to install.
