My chlorinator housing has a crack in it. Its not a "compupool" but a "sunsplash". The electrode assy. has cpsc24 on it SN
# 081124. I found a housing on your site Part # jd363102z. The dimensions are the same. Will the electrode housing work for me?

Hi Rick, Yes this would be the correct replacement for your Sun Splash with a CPSC24 cell.

there are two o rings for each hook-up to the electrode housing. you only show one. is the upper one part of the electrode housing?

would this fit the CIRCUPOOL SJ SERIES
Reply
Hi Dwayne, no, this clear plastic electrode housing body is for the CompuPool CPSC series salt cells only and not for your RJ series cell.

This Electrode Housing Body is an exact replacement. Two new pipe adapters are used which simply screw onto the threaded input and output openings. Then the unit is cemented onto PVC pipe. The electrode assembly is inserted into the unit; the power cord is attached and you are back in business with a functioning Compupool chlorine generator.

(5 out of 5 stars) Frustrating leak from a small crack in case.
Reviewed By: Inyo Customer ()
Replaced Compupool spsc24 housing and fixed the leak. Right after installing, there was a small leak that looked like it was coming from the pipe seal. Replaced the pipe seal and it still leaked. Eventually it was leaking so much that it was obvious that it was leaking from a cracked case near the cell entry likely due to the installer or manufacturing defect. The water was flowing down to pipe making it look like it was leaking from the pipe connection. This generic body definitely looks better and it doesn't leak!

Pros: easy to install stronger casing
Cons: none
I bought this product when the original cell covering cracked. It comes with the blue cover which I did not know and after I installed it all my leaks were gone. casing seems much more sturdier than the one that cracked.

(2 out of 5 stars) Unresolved Problem
Reviewed By: Kenneth M. from Orange County, CA ()
Because the clear housing cracked along the threads, water leaked past the housing into the electrical connection dome. Because water built up inside the connection dome, the electrodes cooked the plastic around the connections. Now water seems to be leaking through the cell connection hub. I am hoping to get a resolution of this problem.

Pros: Less brittle.
Cons: Not quite as clear - but who cares.
When I got the replacement housing for my Compupool Cell it became clear to me that I wasn't the only customer who had experienced a problem. My original housing dropped and immediately cracked. When I got the new replacement housing I noticed it is made of a different type of plastic. This plastic is less brittle, though it is also slightly less clear. I suspect this one will last longer.
