Part # 9995861-DIY
60' Cable, with Swivel, Molded (DIY) Motor Plug, Metal Spring, and 2 wires
Maytronics Robotic Cables are currently designated as Assembly (ASSY) or DIY (Do It Yourself) depending on the design of the plug on the motor end of the cable. For most of the older Robotic models, the cord was installed through the small hole in the SIDE panel of the cleaner. The opening on the side was too small for the cord to go through with the plug on the end, so the wires needed to be threaded through the opening first and then attached to a plug with a Retrofit Kit before being connected to the motor. These cables with “assembled” plugs are designated as “ASSY” at the end of the cable’s manufacturing code.
To improve the plug design, Maytronics created a molded plug that was permanently attached to the motor end of the cable. Instead of coming through the small hole in the side, the cable entered through the TOP of the cleaner and was simply plugged into the top of the motor. Because this cable design was much simpler to install, it was designated as “DIY” for Do It Yourself at the end of the cable’s manufacturing code.
Other differences between the Robotic cables include: the length of the cable; whether they have a swivel; their type of protective spring (DIY cables only); and whether they have 2 wires or three. For more information on these cables descriptions, see our guide on “How to Select the Right Maytronics Dolphin Cleaner Replacement Cable”.

Our Dolphin Supreme M3 is over 3 years old and no longer under warranty. We have taken it to a local dealer to find out that it is the cable (9995861) that needs replaced. Is this something that we can do ourselves? From what I've researched online it sounds like the DIY cable does NOT have loose wires and looks as if it more or less just "plugs in." Any information on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Making sure this is the power cable for my Dolphin cleaner. The part # 9995861-DIY was given to me by Dolphin Matronics. My dog chewed the power cable in half. I saw from another review/post that I can install the new power cable. I was confused that the description was "cable and swivel". 18 M is length? DIAC DC with ends, not sure what that is.

Hi Teresa, The 18M stands for the length in meters and it already have the ends which is the connector to the unit and power supply.
