How is the system attached to the pool?

You drill a small hole in your deck with a 5/16" masonary drill bit, there is then a pin sticking out of the bottom of the alarm which sits in the hole. Here is a link to the owner's manual which explains this in greater detail http://www.inyopools.com/owners_manual/pool_guard_pgrm2.pdf

Is it possible to add an additional remote receiver?
 Reply

It is possible to order an additional receiver. We would need the serial number from the alarm in order to proceed with the purchase. The cost of the receiver would be $50.

What if my pool is larger than 20X40(800 sq.ft.)?
 Reply

A  Answered on 3/11/2009 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

One alarm is required for every 800 square feet. If you have a pool that is 25'X50' (1250 sq.ft.) you would require 2 alarms.

Will this work with any pool stone edging? I noticed the picture shows in attached to a perfect 90 degree angle.

Yes, this will work with any type of pool coping as well as a perfect 90 degree angle coping.

Will the pool alarm activate when the automatic pool cleaner is in use?
 Reply

If the cleaner head or the cleaner hose hits the Pool Guard pool alarm it may cause it to false alarm. Solutions to this problem are to use your cleaner at night and your alarm during the day. Another option would be to find a place around the pool where the cleaner would not interfere with the alarm.
