OEM part number DEX2400JN has been discontinued; this is a generic replacement from Val-Pak.

Yes this is the Nut that goes on to the clamp for Hayward Micro Clear DE3600 filter. Thanks for the great question.

What size threads are on the threaded rod for the nut to fit, its seams to be 7/16 in diameter? the threaded part for the clamp that holds the cover of the pump.

Hi Mark, I am showing that this Brass Sleeve accomodates a 5/16" bolt and the sleeve measures roughly 2" to 2-1/2" long (24 threads). This brass sleeve is commonly used on the Hayward Micro Clear & Hayward Super Star Clear filters so if you have one these filters then this brass sleeve will work for you. If you have a different filter then please email us your filter's details and we will try to track down the proper part for you.

Will this nut fit my DE 4800 for the band that goes around the outside of the filter?

Robert, This nut will only fit the older style Hayward Micro Clear d.e. filter with the metal clamp.

I tried to get this nut and sleeve locally. No one sold it separately. You had to buy the whole assembly at a cost of over $120. Inyo Pool had the part for a little over $20.00! Guess who I will be doing business with in the future.

Pros: saved us lots of money
Cons: needed sanded a bit
This item has been discontinued according to my pool company by hayward, however this piece worked after my husband sanded it a bit on the end. No leaking from the filter system. I don't know if it was a newer version of our old piece, but we were very happy to find it instead of paying 1200.00 for a new filter system.
