Cell esc 16 has adhering salts. How do I clean it? It has been working for 15 years.

This item arrived in France less than a week after I ordered it. Communications from INYOPOOLS and from UPS were first class. The cell was fitted in about 10 minutes with no problems and is working well. I can't tell the difference between this generic product and the genuine one!
