Part # 9348-650
Manufacturer Code 21063-150-000
Pool Pump Union 1.5" Male x 1.5" Socket
This pump union is used on Hayward Super Pumps, Max Flo Pumps and Power Flo Pumps. The 1-1/2" male union threads screw into the female threads of the pump ports
Unions will really make your life easier if you need to do any maintenance on your pump as you simply unscrew the union to remove your pump from your plumbing. The alternative without unions is to cut your plumbing to remove the pump and then when the pump needs to go back into place you have to re-plumb and glue. Unions are a necessity if you will be removing your pump from your plumbing during the winter.

I have a leaky union on an inlet of a Compupool Clorinator. (Salt System). It is fairly new, and everything looks fine, but I cannot get it to stop leaking What should I do?

Hello, McArthur. I best recommend checking the O-Ring of the Union that is leaking. You should also inspect the Union and/or the Collar for any possible cracks. Click here to view the Schematics and parts available for replacement.

I have a Union on the intake side of the salt chlorinator and I replaced the "O" ring and it still leaks. What is next step? Should I replace the union its self? Or what?

Hi, Replacing the union will be the next step in trying to stop the leak.

(5 out of 5 stars) CMP Pool Pump Union is FAR superior to a stock PVC union

I've had issues with air in the system on the suction side of the pump for years, literally 10 years, I thought I had a hole in the buried lines between the house and the pool because I had an addition on the house and the excavator nipped the lines a little and I had to dig them up and repair it. Anyway, since then I had put in patio pavers and getting back down in the ground was not so simple any longer so I put up with the air in the system. There was so much air it came out in the return lines into the pool. I decided to re-plumb the pool at the pump in move a vacuum cleaner line from the return side to the suction side as I changed to a cleaner that ran on suction. This required replacing all the 3-Way Diverter valves and the union connection to the Hayward pump, because all existing 3-way and unions were glued directly into the PVC pipe. This specifically designed union to connect to a Hayward pump... I think my old connector was the entire problem I had sucking air into the system. This Specialty union was designed to seal with treads and o-ring on the make side and the Union itself had 1/4 wide thick rubber 0-ring/gaskets. It is far superior to a stock PVC union.
