Where does it attach? Does it fit inside with the light?

Hi, Michael. This is attached to the stainless steel face ring and placed on the top of the fixture body.

DO I need a pool light zinc anode if I have an in-line anode in my plumbing?

You do not necessarily need a zinc anode unless you believe that you may have corrosion or as rust issue due to corrosive water. Most people do not use a pool light zinc anode.

Chrome Ring around Pool Light was Tarnishing Black

Written on 5/28/2019 by Guest

This was my second sacrificial anode. The first one completely dissolved. This one had some zinc left, but it was brittle. Fortunately, my pool was empty, so it was easy to collect the crumbles.

This time I put it into a mesh pouch so the water could circulate but if I replaced it in the same condition as this last time the crumbles would be confined to the mesh bag.
