Part # 6221-58
Manufacturer Code CHXTRF1930
Dimensions 4" L x 4" W x 2" D
H-Series Transformer
I followed the troubleshooting guide and it seems to indicate the transformer . If the transformer is bad would I get any lights on the digital display ? Because I get nothing on the display , no lights and no codes yet I know there is power to the heater .

Hi Bob, You can use a volt meter to test the Transformer to make sure that it is receiving 120 or 220 volts and 20-26 volts is leaving. If that's happening then it would be the display board.

Hi, I have a Hayward h250 and I am getting the IF code. I have narrowed it down to the control valve not opening. I took a voltage reading at the control valve and it is jumping around never reaching above 20 volts. In your best opinion Should I start with control panel or transfor?

Hello Phil and thank you for your question. Per Hayward's instruction manual, if 24VAC is not present, gas valve relay on control module is defective. Replace control module. Feel free to consult Hayward directly at 888-429-9273 to confirm. The Hayward online manual for your H250 Heater can be reached with this link. If there is anything else I can assist with, please e-mail me back. Thank you, Alan.

Hi, Gabe. If the unit is giving you an error code, you can use the Universal H-Series Diagnostics Manual to resolve the issue.
