Frank,There is not a drain plug with longer threads that can fit the Hayward C3025. If the Drain Plug w/O-ring (SP1022C) is new and it's popping out of the filter tank then the threads on the tank may be worn preventing the drain plug from fitting properly.

is this the plug that covers the discharge spigot? it's threaded, and we never did see the plug in place. it's a Hayward Variflow SPS0710x32. and it never leaked before (4 years) but now it leaks constantly

Hi, This Plus can be used with the SP0710X32 valve, the o-ring is bad but the o-ring is just as much as the plug which comes with the o-ring.

Pros: accurate pictures
With the high price of gas you can drive all over looking for this stuff or you can order it on Inyopools and have it almost the next day. Very good discription of the product and I like that this site has pictures of everything.
