Hi Duane, you can also use the filter serial number and either provide that to us so we can confirm the manufacture date with the manufacturer Pentair or you can contact the manufacturer directly with that at 1-800-831-7133.

On other supplier sites, I would look up the o-ring required for my filter housing. Although they are o-ring seemed to fit the housing, it would not close due to the o-ring being too big (round) or too firm (durometer). Now the old gasket was shot and I had to replace it. I visited the Inyo pool site and my search discovered that there was a different o-ring for filter housings built before 1997. I ordered this gasket and with proper lubrication force, it worked…with no leaks!
It proved to me that it always pays to consult with professionals in that field. Most pool stores do not have professional experience, Inyo does.
