I have a power flo lx pump (SP1510) with a SP1500L impeller. This part looks to be the correct part, but the threaded part on mine is plastic and the one in the picture looks to be brass. Is it this the correct replacement part? Did they change the material of the threaded part?

That is the correct part  replace your existing one. They now make the shaft out of brass to avoid the plastic from cracking.

Does SPX 1500 KA seal assembly with cup work with this impeller? Does this impeller have a brass fitting with threads? The original had plastic.

Hi, The Hayward Shaft Seal (SP1500KA) can work with Hayward Impeller (SP1500L). The Hayward Impeller (SP1500L) does have a brass threads fitting.

My impeller has a molded spring in back where it screws on.

Hello Tommy - The spring part on the back of the impeller is part of the shaft seal. That piece can be removed from the impeller.
