Trying fix my Pentair MiniMax Plus. It will not come on like it is suppose to. It does come ON by putting jumper on the TH/PP to TH terminals of gas valve. Does this mean the gas is okay?? I have replaced the millivolt generator. Old one was working just fine. Replaced the "Pool" potentiometer, unplug the "Hottub" one.. Tried wring in a new " control module" I have. did not work. Tried testing continuity of wires in sensor circuits and it checks okay. Flow sensor test okay.
Jumping the gas valve just means that the valve is ok. You still have a failure in the safety circuit loop preventing the unit from firing. The pilot generator needs to put out a minimum of 550 millivolts, the pilot flame needs to be hitting the generator correctly & you will need to check ea.component in the safety loop, IE: pilot gen, pressure switch, hi limit, temp sensor, t-stat, rocker switch
