Hello, I have the same pentair 320 auto chlorinator, it is leaking from the bottom. Can I just bypass the chlorinator?, Remove it and run a straight pipe. Thank you, John.

Hi, John. Yes, you can remove the Chlorinator. If you decide to remove the Chlorinator from the plumbing, please replace it with a Floating Chlorine Dispenser. Click here to view. Before removing, I would suggest reviewing replacement parts available for the Pentair CL320 In-Line Chlorinator. What is the expected service life assuming in operation 8 hours/day six months of the year?

Hello Bill. It is difficult to predict the life expectancy of the Pentair Pool Products Chlorinator model 320. Operating times are just one factor taken into account. Other factors to consider are: Climate - Is the chlorinator susceptible to freezing temperatures, if so, is it properly winterized? Maintenance - Is the chlorinator on a regular cleaning/maintenance cycle? Properly maintained, the Pentair 320 Chlorinator will provide many years of service life.
