I need to replace my the capacitor on my 1.5HP pool pump. Do you carry the capacitor I need?

Please note that capacitors store an electric charge and should be handled with the utmost caution and care. We do not encourage handling a capacitor without any type of safety measures in place and highly recommend contacting a professional service company for repair/replacement. For those that feel comfortable changing the capacitor here's  >How to replace a pool pump capacitor. In order to match up the capacitor you will need more specifications on the capacitor. You will need to match the voltage, the MFD, whether or not the capacitor is a >run or >start type and the actual dimensions of the capacitor body.

This capacitor meets all my specs except the size as near as I can tell. Mine is 2.875 long with a 1.875 diameter. Can you tell me the dimensions and if they do not match maybe another model #? Thank you

Hi Mike, Your current capictor should have a MFD rating and a VAC rating on it, can you please email us those specifications as this will help us select the proper replacement capictor for you, thanks!

In response to the posted question and answer below- my MFD rating is 35 and the VAC is 370 - the only thing in question is the size. Mine is 2.875" long and 1.875" in diameter.

Hi Michael, I double checked the dimensions on this capicitor and it is 2" Wide x 4-5/16" Long. Since the MFD and VAC ratings are the same this would work for your application, the only question would be if it could fit inside your motor end cap.

The pool pump would turn on, but only buzzed and did not feed water

Written on 4/26/2023 by Guest

I removed the end of the pool pump, wrote down the value of the capacitor and it's diameters, and found the matching part I needed on INYOPOOLS. It was as simple as getting the part in, taking note of how the wires were placed, and replacing the capacitor and closing up the end of the pool pump
