The jet body cracked over the winter period due to spa water remaining in the body

Written on 10/10/2018 by Guest

First step was to remove the cracked body, which required the cutting of some interior PVC piping to isolate the broken body. Next step was to unscrew the interior spa jet unit from the body in order to remove the entire assembly. Once this was out I cleaned the entire interior & exterior area around the opening in the tub before installing the new body and jet assembly, including the new wall gasket. I then had to glue new PVC fittings to the body, glue a plug in one side of the body and a new fitting to accommodate the air jet hose. New PVC pipe was then connected to the new body and PVC barbs were used to connect the new PVC piping to the existing spa hose
