Is your definition of "maintained" the same as a latching relay? Does a puff of air switch and hold the relay in this switch?
Reply
Hi, Ron. Yes, this is a latching functioning air switch. A pulse of air will turn the switch on/off.

I am replacing a Baker Hydro Part Number 59B9098 which uses 220 volts. Is this switch the replacement part and will it run on 220 volts?
Hi John, yes this is the correct replacement air switch for the switch part number 59B9098.

After breaking the plastic bib off the OEM air switch I tried glueing the part together but it would not hold. I then discovered your air switch, and although it was a little different looking, I hoped I could make it work. When I received your switch, I was glad to see that it was small enough to fit where my previous switch had been. The new switch could be installed using the nuts on the shaft to hold it in place instead of the screws the old switch used. I did have to change the type wire plug on my wires, but there was enough slack so it was not a problem.

Pros: Work as expected!
Bought the DPDT models as it offers more safety/flexibility and the price difference is minimal. My original switches have broken over the decades. These seem solid and well made, good for a few more decades I'm sure. I was hoping to use these with my TecMark spa-side air control but if the tube run is longer than about ten feet the integrated plungers on the control don't offer enough oomph to throw the switch. They work fine with separate, larger air plunger switches.
