Hi, Joe Pfeifer. Improper water chemistry is the number one cause of a corroded tube assembly.

Hello my name is Gordon Machay, Lead Maintenance Tech at the Hyatt Place Keystone Colorado, and I operate 2 hot tubs that have tube bundle(106A) in their boilers. I installed 2 brand new tube bundles in each of the boilers only 3 months ago and both failed and leaked. My question is: Why are the tube bundles that I purchased from your company failing and leaking from the tubes with only 3 months usage? I cannot justify replacing the tube bundles every 3 months, I feel they should last longer
According to the Raypak owners manual for the R106A & R156A heaters on page 32 https://images.inyopools.com/cloud/documents/owners-manual-models-106-156.pdf Leaking at heat exchanger Over-acid: Replace heat exchanger and maintain proper water chemistry.
