I need parts for my filter valve. When I look at the filter parts breakdown, it gives me different choices. How do I know which one is the one I need?

In order to locate the correct parts we will need to know the model number of the filter valve. Two identical filters can have two different valves. Typically the valve model will be located on the label of the valve. If there is no model number on the valve, you can try to see if there are any part numbers on the valve itself. Once you've located you valve model you can check out our >Filter Valve Parts.

So, maybe. I only need to change the top of the valve instead the whole valve.. Do you have the top of the 261177 Multiport? If yes, please stated price & shipping conditions to Puerto Rico.

I am looking for the top part of a valve. It is the part that has the different options on it like backwash and rinse. It is for a Pentair 8 position multi-port valve and has a label # 96734200.

The top lid part number for your valve is part number 4659-25d and the handle is 4659-21c. These do not come together pre assembled unfortunately.

Old Valve cracked

Written on 7/27/2023 by Guest

I unscrewed the two unions attached to the tank. Instead of cutting the existing pipe, I managed to unscrew the valve assembly off. Instead of using teflon tape, which cracked the old valve assembly, I used the liquid teflon, which sealed everything perfectly without putting stress on the valve assembly. After screwing the valve assembly onto the existing pipe, i inserted the assembly into the tank and hand-screwed the two unions. It all worked (thankfully) without a hitch.
