Warranty Ecommerce (EC) products: Products purchased from an Authorized Pentair Online Reseller (products beginning with EC-) receive a one (1) year (parts only) warranty from the date of purchase. The exceptions are: IntelliChlor cells and IntelliFlo SVRS pumps which receive a two (2) year warranty. EC products are not eligible for the bundled three (3) year extended warranty.

When should I change the sand in my filter?

You should change the sand in your filter every 5-7 years. You can generally tell that it is time if your pool water is not as clear as it normally is or when you notice the interval between backwashes is shorter. You can use > this guide to walk you through it.

We are starting up for season. Says to open manual air bleed then set on backwash. Where is air bleed located?

Hi, The multi-port valve on the Pentair Filter - SD-80 Sand Dollar W/ 6 Way Valve will be labeled "PUMP" for the inlet, "RETURN" for the outlet and "WASTE" for backwashing.

Is the sd80 one size?...like 36" or does it come in different sizes. Thanks

Hello, Sarah. The Pentair Sand Dollar Filters are offered in five different sizes. The Model numbers are SD35, SD40, SD60, SD70, and the SD80. They also offer a Special Order item SD80 2" part number 145386. If you need a 36" Sand Filter I best recommend the Triton II TR140 MODEL# 140243 Side Mount Sand Filter with the 2" High Flow Multiport Valve w/ Plumbing (sold separately) for Triton & Quad DE Filters PART# 261050.
