Model # PF1103T
Single Circuit Freeze Protections Controls
These Freeze Protection Controls are designed to protect the pool and spa equipment and plumbing against freeze damage. They turn ON the pump and the heater when the outdoor temperature drops below the temperature set by the user adjustable thermostat. Models without timer connect to a timing or switching device and together, they control operation of the equipment as well as protect it against freeze damage. Models with timer provide both automation and protection for the equipment. Please note: For 240v, a neutral must be installed for the PF1103T. If no neutral is available, you would need the PF1102T.<
** PLEASE NOTE: If ordered, this mechanism may come with a mechanical timer, not a digital timer as pictured above. Intermatic has changed back to mechanical timer for these freeze protect mechanisms. Inyo Pools does not guarantee which timer type will be shipped. **

I currently have a PF1102T installed, but it needs to be replaced. I'm confused about which specific piece of pool equipment I need to look at to determine whether I can use the PF1103T instead. What confuses me is that while both the 1102 and the 1103 say they can be used for 120/240 v, and while I think I understand having to wire the neutral if I get the 1103, I don't understand the part of the 1103 instructions which say "Both models are designed to operate either on 120 volt or 240 volt, 60

We spoke with our Intermatic sales rep. and he stated that the 1103 model is designed to accomodate 4 wires - 1 Neutral, 2 Hots & 1 Ground and the 1102 is designed to accomodate 3 wires - 2 Hots & 1 Ground. Intermatic stated that you should be able to look at the wires going to your pump or the wires going to your breakers to determin if you have 3 or 4 wires. Thanks!

I have an PF1103T model thermostatic pool timer and the thermostatic function has stopped working during the cold snaps that we have been having here in south Carolina. But I can turn the knob manually from the 32 degree setting and go upward towards the 35 degree setting and the pool pump will kick on. What do you think is my problem and how to fix it? My timer is only 4 years old.

(4 out of 5 stars) Great freeze and timer pool timer control
Reviewed By: Gary N. from Fredericksburg, TX ()
Pros: Ease of installation and hookup
Cons: Somewhat expensive unless it lasts 10 years
The delivery time was somewhat long, I guess due to drop ship from the manufacturer. The product is great, easy to install, I have some electrical experience, but the instructions and guide inside the door are very easy to follow. Took me about 15 minutes to install. Very satisfied at this point.
