Model # T106R
Intermatic timeclock for two speed pumps.
The T106R typically wires into an exsisting pool timer. Your exsisting timer will turn the pump on and off and the T106R will switch from high to low speeds. When wiring this timer up, one leg of the power is always hot to the pump and the other leg goes through the timer. The timer determines whether the second leg goes to the high speed or low speed terminal of the motor. The motor is always on in low speed until the timer kicks it into high speed. When working on the motor, always turn off the main power switch. This timer does NOT turn the pump on and off, it is simply a HIGH-LOW switch. If you want to turn the pump on and off through a timeclock, you also need a T104 timer or purchase a combo timer that has both a T106 and T104 timer in it (T10604R). You would use a normal T104 timer to control the on/off function and then use the T106 two speed timer to control the high/low function of the pump.

Do you have the wiring information for this? I have a Two Speed pump with a single timer. I want to be able to switch to High and low speeds.

If you already have a timer this would be the product you would require. This would wire into your existing timer, your existing timer would turn the pump on and off and the T106 would switch from High Speed to Low Speed. Here is the wiring diagram for the T106 http://www.inyopools.com/owners_manual/intermatic_t106.pdf

Hayward Super Pump w/A.O.Smith 2 speed 1HP motor. Master ON/OFF switch & motor has Hi/LO toggle switch on back of motor. Manually turn off/on, & switch between hi & lo speed. Want to feed Intermatic T106R from master switch, and have timer control hi/lo speed over a 24 hr day...e.g. 10 hrs Hi & 14 hrs Lo speed. We run 24 hrs/day. QUES - can A.O.Smith 1HP motor withstand T106R relay switching low to high day after day, without first turning the pump motor to OFF between speed changes. Thanks

Hi. Yes, the T106R and T104 timers will be able to allow your pump to run on that specific schedule.

(3 out of 5 stars) Should have just bought an IntelliFlo

Pros: Does exactly what it is supposed to do.
Cons: Old technology, but still expensive.
This works exactly as described. It switched your pump to high speed for a time period you set, and then switches it back to low speed. The problem is, this thing is dumb technology. You even have to buy another one if you also want to be able to turn your pump on and off, this only switches from high to low. You are limited by the number of clamp on pieces as to how many cycles you can have. This technology is the same as what my grandparents used. For just a little bit more I could have had an IntelliFlo that has so many more features than this, and doesn't require a box on the wall, or mechanical accessories that have potential to fail.
