Hi Kyle, I believe the lateral assembly is just pressed into the bottom of the pool filter. We have a detailed Step by Step How to Guide on How to Replace Sand Filter Laterals which should explain this pretty well.

I have a Hayward Pro Series Model S-244T filter. Will the SX242DA Folding Lateral Assembly for S240 work with my filter? If so, does it come with the standpipe or do I purchase that separately?

Can I use a hayward lateral assembly in my Poolco sand filter? It looks like the laterals are about 1/2" in diameter smaller.

Hi, Kim. This Hayward Lateral Assembly will not fit a Poolco Sand Filter.

I have a S244S Hayward sand filter and the lateral finger or fingers is blowing the sand back into the pool which one is for my unit?
