If I am currently on chlorine do I have to drain pool or anything, or can I just install salt generator and check/adjust levels? I will be reopening pool in 2 weeks after the winter and am considering buying this. Also will other brands of cells work with this model or only crystal pure?

No you do not have to drain the pool for salt systems can just be added to regular chlorinated swimming pools. Then salt will need to be added. The same manufacturer model cells need to be used on this system.

Currently I use a de filter system I here about salt water what are the advantages of this system versus standard chemicals that I use. does it reduce the amount of chemicals needed?

These salt water systems daily generate chlorine for your pool so you would not need to use shock treatments, tablets and reduce the algae blooms as long as the system works well. You do still need to monitor all the other chemical levels in the pool and your acid usage will increase with these systems.

it work good for two years and they said it has under warranty but they know when i bought and shipping address to send and they said we can find the order number so they can replace it and they do not sell it any more

Installed this unit two years ago and never had an issue. My pool is 12,000 gals and it makes plenty of chlorine at a low setting

Simple to install, simple to use. I reduced the fittings down to 1-1/2" and glued it right up after my filter. Works perfectly. Pool is crystal clear.

Pros: saves money on chemicals once stabilized
Cons: takes a while to get adjusted so it works for ur pool
installed salt system in for a outdoor pool w/no screen enclosure, took about a month to get everything to normal , between adding salt, calcium, acid and chlorine made me question getting this system but once stabilized haven't had to spend a dime on chemicals for the last 2 mos and the water is crystal clear

Cons: directions are really bad!
Very happy with this generator! Amazing difference in our pool water quality and the money saved not having to buy shock every week. The only thing that kept me from giving it 5 starts is the poor directions to install and maintain. And the fact that the motherboard light/on off switch went bad after 30 days. But Inyo was very helpfull with the diagnostics and ultimate replacement. Note that I'm handy with electronics however and replaced it my self...its only a couple of connectors much like a motherboard on a PC

My pool never looked so clear .It was the only way to go! The instructions could have been a little clearer esp. about the electrical hookup. Other than that it went in smoothly.
