will the back end of the fitting accept a glue in pipe or glue in fitting inserted of using the external threads?

Jerry, The back of this fitting is 1.5' slip meaning 1.5" pvc would be glued directly to the back of this wall fitting.

Will this fitting work for the autofill pipe at the gunite/plaster?

It is possible but We are not really able to answer this question as each builder has a preferred method & we have no idea what auto fill is being used.
