What is the benefit of the clear solar blanket over the blue one?

First, the clear solar blanket is thicker than the blue; the clear is 12 mil thick while the blue is 8 mil. Secondly, the clear allows the sun to pass through the blanket thus heating the water better. The blue blanket tends to absorb the heat itself so the blanket gets hot, not the water. Lastly, the clear blanket has a 5 year warranty as opposed to the 3 year warranty for the blue.

What do I use to hold down my in ground solar cover? Can I use water tubes?

Solar covers (or solar blankets) are designed to sit on the surface of the water inside of the pool. The cover does not extend onto the top rails or pool deck. You will likely need to carefully trim the solar cover with a pair of scissors to ensure a proper fit.

My swimming pool water is always cold. A pool heater is not in my budget right now. Is there anything I can use to make the water temperature more comfortable?

If you get a lot of direct sunlight on the pool, I would recommend using our Magni Clear solar blanket. LOVE this solar pool cover! It works so much better than the blue ones we've had in the past. It's thicker and a much better quality, and it really heats the water up perfectly. Very fast shipping, too! Highly recommend.

The heavier blanket is the best! This blanket keeps the pool warm well into the fall. Would not consider going back to the other cheapies.... You get what you pay for.

Cons: Isn't cut in perfect circle, but fits.
Works great!! Warmed pool and keeps heat in. Left on while we were gone for a couple days, had hot weather and pool became bath water:) kids loved it!!! We Put on at night to keep heat in;)

Very glad I bought the solar blanket. It does extend swimming season by heating the pool water. It also reduces evaporation.
