Hi. Any reason these are not a good replacement for original Jandy filters? I bought a generic motor from you and it has worked out fine.

Hello Carol - In our years of selling generic pool filter cartridges, we have had very few complaints from customers regarding their quality and durability. They seem to hold their own alongside the OEM cartridges and offer customers a lower priced option.

First time to replace filter, the factory supplied NSF 50 460. What is an economical option to replace?

Shut pump off, then drain the jandy 4-cartridge cannister, using the 2" drain plug (bottom right side of cannister), then take off the large retaining band, that goes all the way around the cannister, then take the upper manifold off, then pull the old/dirty filters out, then repeat the above steps, to put new filters in.
Then just sat back and relax, because those new filters will have and keep your pool sparkling for months to come, enjoy your beautiful pool, life is better outdoors.

Pros: ease to replace
Cons: cleaning and cost
Got three years out of the old ones so we will see how these do. The construction on the old ones started to break down after a few cleaning cycles, but three years is not bad

These filters seem to work just as well as a namebrand filter, and they are significantly less expensive.
