Anonymous (Tiger Shark) - You can find the star pattern screwdrivers at a local hardware store. But I have found that a Phillips head screwdriver will catch the star pattern enough to turn the screws.

what kind on allen key or screwdriver did you use to remove the cover? Nothing I have seems to work, as the screw head for the handle has a weird star pattern.

dvdell920 - Good observation. I think you are right. I will have to find a cleaner and try this myself. Thanks you for your comment!

I replaced my brushes this weekend in all of 10 minutes!! WHY do you say to disassemble the entire machine when the old brushes can be easily removed with scissors and the new ones replaced ON the roll without opening up the machine??

So how did you apply right over the roller without taking the machine apart? Is there a trick to this?

essentially you just be doing steps 11 and 12 of the guide; then, you would try to snake the roller brush between the roller and the body of the cleaner. There is no real trick to it, just what needs to be done.
