Many people have called in asking for a new Multiport Valve (MPV) label because their label is missing or has faded to the point where they can't read it. Most MPV manufactures do not sell replacement labels although I'm told by a Hayward rep that they have copies of most of their labels that are free for the asking. Call 866-772-2100. This guide shows you how to determine the operational settings on an unreadable label.

We have a wayward d.e. pool filter and it appears like there’s no filter valve to set it to backwash. What do we do ?Reply

What is the model number or make and model of the filter? First, we need to know what you have to determine the procedure.Reply

Hi - I have the HAYWARD SELECTA0FLO VALVE. It still has all the labels. Going Clock Wise ... Filter / Waste / Backwash / Boost. So, only 4 positions. All instructions for backwashing say, I need to use RINSE - but I don't see a RINSE location. Am I missing something? Thanks for any help.Reply
InyoPools Product Specialist Matt S. Posted: 4/24/2020
The Waste setting is considered the Rinse cycle in this case.Reply

Thank you for posting this info! I'm taking care of a friends pool and the filter labels had worn off...so this will be helpful. I also submitted for your free guide which I am sure will also prove useful. I want to make sure it looks just as nice when they return from vacation.Reply
