replaced this part (R0456500) less than one year ago, now the same problem has shown up again, sensor reports water temperature is 116 degrees when it is not, so heater will not go on. Bad part again, or something else?

Hi Marney, The temperature sensor could be bad, the only way to be sure it to troubleshoot the unit with Zodiac or replace the sensor.

Model LXI400P Pool Heater Serial #B08LD0867. With the spa and spa heater running, the panel on the heater readout shows water temperature is 102F. Temperature set at 102F. All would be fine if that were the case. Realty is that the spa is actually 87F and pool equipment says the same 87F. Do I need to replace the temp sensor? If so, can you give me the part #? Or, is there a different problem.

Good morning, yes the Lxi Temp Sensor W/sleeve & Gasket (r0456500) would be the correct part.

It appears I have the same problem. The controller on my LRZ pool heater is reading the current temp at 108 deg. The water is not 108. It's probably at 75 deg, I need it at 87. So the heater doesn't turn on. If I purchase this part (R0456500) - will it come with directions on how to swap out the old part with the new part??

Jandy Legacy model LRX400en pool and spa heater shows "Fault-shorted H2O sensor." Where is this sensor and what is the part no. and approximate cost? Thank you for your kind consideration.

Hi, Mike. This is the correct Temperature Sensor for the Jandy Legacy heater. The Sensor is located on the left side of the manifold assembly as illustrated as Key # 15 on the Jandy Legacy Model Parts Diagram.
