Variable-speed pumps are the ultimate way to save energy while enjoying your pool. Most other variable-speed
models, however, are oversized when compared to medium-head pumps such as Hayward®’s Max-Flo series. The all-new Max-Flo VS is right-sized, particularly for applications with 1.5" or 2" plumbing, providing tremendous energy savings that result in an even faster return on your investment.
The digital interface shows power consumption for immediate feedback to maximize energy savings.
Max-Flo VS provides customizable speed, duration, and priming time to match the needs of both aftermarket and new construction installations. Programmable timers and a permanent magnet motor mean this pump meets the requirements of swimming pool efficiency standards such as Title 20 and APSP-15. Upgrade and save with Max-Flo VS!
How many hours per day should I run my pump?
Reply
There are many factors to consider; bather load, gallons of water, pump horsepower, type and size of filter just to name a few. A good guideline is 8-10 hours a day. On the cooler days and early and late season, you can cut the run time down to 4-6 hours because there is usually less swimmers and cooler water requires less chemicals. In peak season, when it is the hottest, raising the run time to 10-12 hours per day will help to keep the pool clean and circulating during it’s time of heaviest use.

Does this work with any pool size and any type of filter?
I have 30,000 gallons with spa and DE filter

Hi, This pump can be used with most residential pool and filtration system. You will have to calculate the "feet of head" of your pool to make sure that it can produce the flow rate needed for your pool.

What pumps will this be a direct replacement for? I currently have a 1.5 hp superpump.

how do I open the basket for cleaning I tried to turn it to the left but it does not open

Hi. To remove the strainer cover you would turn it to the left. You may have to use a bit more force to get it but budge if it's the first time it's being opened.
