What is the difference between the vinyl/fiberglass and the concrete version?

James, The difference between the two versions are the vinyl/fiberglass pod shoes. The concrete version has concrete pod shoes.

Does this vac clean the sides and steps of the pool also?
The rebate on your site has expired. Will you offer another rebate or military discount? This pool is concrete but I am considering changing it to vinyl later.

Sabrena - The Pool Vac XL is designed to climb most walls. It may have issues if there is a 90° wall with no slope. Same thing goes for the steps. We have seen them clean steps in some pools but not others. Click Here for current rebate. You could order the concrete model now and then switch the shoes when you convert to vinyl.

i have a concrete pool that has an epoxy coating on it. It is smooth not rough. Which pool cleaner should, I get? Concrete or fiberglass?

Hi Jorge, You would need the Hayward Pool Vac XL Cleaner (2025ADV) for a Vinyl/Fiberglass surface pool.

wont move does the red gear box need replacement in my pool vac adv 2025, the shoes and wings are good but the legs dont vibrate.

It is very likely you need more parts than the gear box replaced. The message does not really provide enough information, and is practically impossible to diagnose your cleaner this way. I would recommend you take your cleaner in to a local pool store. There are many that will inspect it for free and provide you with a list of parts you need to replace. Consider that a shopping list if you choose to purchase the parts with us.

Do you by any chance have a 2016 model of the XL at a reduced price?

Hello, Unfortunately we do not have any scratch and dent units for retail. Your best bet for a reduced price cleaner would be to check on second hand retail sites. Most online retailers will not reduce prices on cleaners unless the item is discontinued.
