The all new Hayward Pool Vac XL introduces Exclusive AquaPilot technology makes Pool Vac XL faster and more efficient than any random style pool cleaner. Pool Vac XL moves in a predetermined series of right and left turns to systematically provide more thorough coverage of your pool's surfaces. It scoops up all types of debris and deposits it directly into your existing filtration system. No need for additional equipment or expense. For the ultimate in easy, trouble-free operation, leave your pool cleaning to the most sophisticated suction pool cleaner available, Hayward's Pool Vac XL.
Pool Vac XL gives you easy, trouble-free operation. And because it's powered by your existing filtration system, you don't have the expense of an energy-consuming booster pump. You won't waste time emptying or replacing debris bags. Getting that sparkling clean pool is easy and effortless with the Pool Vac XL. When you install your new Pool Vac XL as part of the Totally Hayward® System, you get the assurance of knowing you have a complete system, designed to work together for the best automatic operation and the cleanest pool possible.
Add a leaf canister to your Hayward pool cleaner so debris does not collect in your pump basket. The leaf canister fits between 2 sections of the pool cleaners hose, debris is now collected in the leaf canister rather than your pump basket.
Q: What is the difference between the Hayward Pool Vac and the Hayward Navigator?
A: The only difference between the Pool Vac and the Navigator is the shape of the head of the cleaner. The head of the Navigator is square or flat and the Pool Vac is more rounded. Both cleaners use the exact same internal compnents and the same hose, so if you ever need to replace parts in the future the parts for both cleaners would be the same. Some people say the rounded design on the Pool Vac performs a little better in the corners of the pool.

What is the difference between the vinyl/fiberglass and the concrete version?
Reply
James, The difference between the two versions are the vinyl/fiberglass pod shoes. The concrete version has concrete pod shoes.

Does this vac clean the sides and steps of the pool also?
The rebate on your site has expired. Will you offer another rebate or military discount? This pool is concrete but I am considering changing it to vinyl later.

Sabrena - The Pool Vac XL is designed to climb most walls. It may have issues if there is a 90° wall with no slope. Same thing goes for the steps. We have seen them clean steps in some pools but not others. Click Here for current rebate. You could order the concrete model now and then switch the shoes when you convert to vinyl.

I have several of the Hayward cleaners over the years. I purchased another well know brand, but was never happy with the cleaning ability. It would clean only certainly parts of the pool. The Hayward is the best buy for the money.
